The National Library of Spain, founded in 1712 by King Philip V, houses a collection of over 30 million book copies.
In Madrid, the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Spain, Danat Musaev, held a meeting with the Director of the National Library of Spain, Ana Santos, and the Director of Cultural Affairs of the said library, Javier Ortega, as reported by Sarbaz.kz with reference to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
During the meeting, Abai's works translated into Spanish were handed over to the library's collection, aiming to promote Kazakh literature to a wider audience.
The parties discussed prospects for collaboration in organising joint cultural events, such as exhibitions and masterclasses, as well as sharing experiences in digitising printed publications, rare documents, and archival activities.
