The exercise took place in accordance with the Military Cooperation Plan between the defense ministries of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan for the year 2023.
Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan military personnel have successfully concluded the initial phase of the "Kanzhar-2023" joint exercise, as reported by Sarbaz.kz citing the press service of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
In the city of Chirchik, Uzbekistan, at the research field training center for modeling and simulation of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the collaborative operational-tactical computerized command and staff exercise "Kanzhar-2023" was conducted. The exercise involved the participation of 18 Kazakhstani military personnel.
"Computerised command and staff exercises represent a promising direction in enhancing the combat readiness of military personnel, enabling the simulation of various scenarios, force deployment, and resource utilization," the ministry's statement emphasizes.
Following the execution of combat tasks in the cyber domain, the second phase of the "Kanzhar-2023" exercise has commenced at the "Oymasha" training ground in the Mangystau Region, Kazakhstan. The exercise is set to continue until August 12th.
