The head of the state has visited a range of industrial and social facilities in the Pavlodar region.
President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev embarked on a working trip to the Pavlodar region, as reported by Sarbaz.kz, citing Akorda press service.
The President's working trip commenced with a visit to the Ekibastuz Thermal Power Plant. Additionally, the head of state toured several industrial and social facilities within the region.
During the trip, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev familiarized himself with the progress of repair works underway at the Ekibastuz Thermal Power Plant.
"The situation is grave. The wear and tear are significant. We need to systematically address this issue and keep it constantly in focus. What happened last winter, of course, must not be allowed to recur in any way, either in this city or in others. This is the responsibility of the Government and all akims. We have drawn a heavy lesson from everything that transpired. A heartfelt thank you must be extended to the citizens of our country as a whole and the residents of the respective cities for their displayed patience and understanding. However, endlessly testing this patience and understanding is absolutely impermissible. Therefore, we will take measures," stated Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
