The mayor of Astana participated in the opening ceremony
On the eve of Transport Workers' Day, the National Company "Kazakhstan Temir Zholy" presented residents and visitors of the capital with a new square located near the "Triumphal Arch" monument.
The opening ceremony took place with the participation of the Mayor of the city, Zhenis Kasymbek, and the leadership of JSC "NC "Kazakhstan Temir Zholy". The event coincided with the birthday of the "Esil" district.
The 1-hectare square is adorned with around 300 deciduous trees (maples, lindens, lilacs), over 3000 shrubs, and flowers. An automated irrigation system has been installed, along with alpine slides and a lush lawn. For relaxation and physical activity, amenities include a children's playground, work-out equipment, and benches.
