Ceremony of Eternal Flame Placement Commemorates 30th Anniversary of Kazakhstani Naval Forces in Aktau

The official events celebrating the 30th anniversary of the Republic of Kazakhstan's Naval Forces have commenced in Aktau, as reported by Sarbaz.kz's correspondent. The official proceedings began with the laying of wreaths at the Eternal Flame monument in Aktau. Joining the veterans of the Kazakhstani Naval Forces, the ceremony was attended by Kazakhstan's first cosmonaut, Tokhtar Aubakirov. The ceremony commenced with a minute of silence.

Following this, the veterans of the Naval Forces shared their recollections of the initial years of establishment and spoke of the challenges they encountered.

The official commemorations associated with the 30th anniversary of the Kazakhstani Naval Forces will continue on August 17 with a naval parade on the Caspian Sea. Along the Aktau waterfront, military units of the Aktau Garrison will also march in a ceremonial procession.

In honor of this jubilee, the missile-artillery ships of the Kazakhstani Naval Forces will extend festive greetings to the city's residents and visitors with celebratory salvoes and a fireworks display. The festivities will culminate in a concert featuring performances by the Central Ensemble and the Central Military Orchestra of the National Military Orchestra of the National Military-Patriotic Center of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Participating in these events will be the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Lieutenant General Ruslan Zhaxylykov, the Governor of Mangistau Region, Nurlan Nogayev, and veterans of the Kazakhstani Armed Forces.
