The topic of enhancement of the military has been noted as an issue of high importance in the Address to the Nation.
Kazakhstan's army must be equipped with high-tech weaponry and military equipment, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev stated in his Address to the Nation. At the same time, the Head of State called for the creation of a production cycle with a high degree of localisation, which would reduce dependence on imported supplies, as reported by Sarbaz.kz.
"Our army must be supplied with high-tech weapons and military equipment, including armored vehicles, drones, and modern small arms. We need to strengthen production capacities for the operational repair of equipment and enhance support for domestic enterprises. We have the necessary material and technical base, expertise, and personnel. They need orders from the relevant agencies," – emphasised Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
The Head of State urged for continued efforts to transfer modern technologies and localize new production facilities. The mechanism for direct financial support to domestic enterprises will be provided by a special Fund for the Development of the Defense Industry Complex, stated the President.
