Kazakhstan will introduce a new long-term investor visa type, A6. Holders of such visas will be granted the right to obtain residence permits in the country, announced Askarbek Ertaev, the head of the Migration Committee of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population, as reported by Sarbaz.kz.
"The procedure for issuing the 'Ata Zhol' card for ethnic Kazakhs with successful businesses abroad has been approved. The key feature of the 'Ata Zhol' card is that our foreign brothers, though citizens of other states, have the same rights as our citizens," clarified A. Ertaev.
Furthermore, to enhance the country's investment attractiveness within the framework of business immigration, the requirements for category A5 investors have changed. The minimum threshold will be reduced to $300,000. However, they will no longer be granted permission to bring in foreign labor. Since the beginning of the year, 76 foreign citizens have received such investor visas.
The investor visa (A5) is issued to leaders and/or deputy leaders and/or heads of structural units of legal entities engaged in investment activities in the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan, foreigners and stateless persons investing in accordance with the program of investment tax residency of the MFCA, as well as their family members. Single-entry visas are issued for up to 90 days, and multiple-entry visas are valid for up to 5 years.
