The exercise involves joint participation with Pakistan, as reported by Sarbaz.kz, citing the Ministry of Defense of Kazakhstan.

Representing Pakistan, Major General Hana Asad Nawaz, the director of the Military Training Directorate of the Armed Forces of Pakistan, and Brigadier General Ali Mumtaz, the military attaché, are taking part in the event.

The "Dostarym-2023" exercise is being conducted in accordance with the current plan for bilateral cooperation between the defense departments of Kazakhstan and Pakistan. During the initial stage of the exercise, a joint tactical detachment was formed for collaborative operations. The training encompasses both individual and joint exercises, covering various tactical scenarios.

The exercise involves infantry fighting vehicles, artillery systems, anti-aircraft complexes, Mi-17 helicopters, and unmanned aerial vehicles. The primary objective of the event is to develop a joint methodology for planning special operations in crisis situations, improve command coordination, and enhance the professionalism of both individual soldiers and special forces groups.
