A license plate constructor for automobiles is planned to be launched in Kazakhstan.
Kazakhstani citizens will now have the ability to choose a personalised combination of letters for their vehicle license plates, via a new government service, according to Sarbaz.kz, citing a post by the Minister of Digital Development, Innovation, and Aerospace Industry, Bagdat Mussin, on Instagram.
"We are working on the implementation of a license plate constructor service. With this feature, customers can personally select any letter combination for their license plate, such as the first three letters of their name. We have a great demand for this service," – the minister notes
According to Mussin, last year, Kazakhstani citizens have collectively spent approximately 6 billion KZT to purchase VIP license plates. Currently, the service for choosing and reserving license plates is available on the Smart Bridge platform. The cost for a regular license plate in Kazakhstan is set at 2.8 MCI or 9,660 KZT. The most expensive license plates are priced at 285 MCI or 983,000 KZT.
