Personality disorder is a cause that leads people to commit abuse against their loved ones. To address these issues, it's crucial for them to seek help from specialized professionals, recommends Azhar Kanaeva, an expert on abusive relationships and a psychologist, as reported by Sarbaz.kz.
"A person is either rational and capable of self-control, or they have a personality disorder that inhibits their rationality. In such cases, even minor issues can trigger brutal treatment towards women," the psychologist states.
According to the psychologist, it's necessary to eliminate the notion of resorting to physical violence against women or anyone else from one's mindset. Relationships in a civilized world should be based on mutual respect and communication.
"It's also crucial for both men and women to abandon the idea that they can change someone. No one can change or 'raise' a spouse after marriage. The upbringing of spouses was the responsibility of their parents, and that concluded long ago. Accepting and loving each other as they are is essential," concluded the specialist.
