The station has now restored operations, but heat supply parameters should stabilize in the next few hours.
A hurricane-force wind led to the shutdown of boilers at the Ekibastuz Thermal Power Plant last night, as reported by Sarbaz.kz.
"The station's power supply was disrupted due to the shutdown of the main and backup substations powered by GRES-1. As the operation of the TPP's main equipment relies on electricity, the boilers had to be forcibly shut down at the station," explained Ekibastuzteploenergo LLP.
It's reported that power supply to the ETTP was restored at 05:15 in the morning. Presently, the station has resumed operations, but heat supply parameters are expected to stabilize in the next few hours.
According to the Ministry of Energy's press service, as of 12:00, boiler No. 7 is in operation, boiler No. 14 is being fired up, while boilers No. 11 and 15 are being prepared for firing. The heat network temperature is at 40/40 degrees Celsius, below the standard of 70/53 degrees Celsius.
