The Minister of Defense of Germany, Boris Pistorius, has arrived in Kyiv for a visit, reported by Sarbaz.kz citing DW.
During his visit, the minister will hold negotiations in Kyiv with his Ukrainian counterpart, Rustem Umerov. The German Defense Ministry clarified that the visit aims to confirm Berlin's support for Ukraine. The main topics of discussion will revolve around soldier training and military assistance.
Additionally, Pistorius is scheduled to meet with the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky.
Furthermore, while in Kyiv, Pistorius will participate in commemorating the 10th anniversary of the protests at Independence Square, commonly known as the Euromaidan. It marked the onset of a civic movement. The protests, lasting until February 2014, were forcibly suppressed by the police and security services, resulting in the deaths of over 100 demonstrators.
