Following their training, the candidates who successfully pass the selection process will be enlisted as reserve officers for future deployment in UN peacekeeping missions.

The Ministry of Defense of Kazakhstan conducts regular training sessions for candidates aspiring to serve as military observers and staff officers in UN peacekeeping missions, as reported by Sarbaz.kz, citing the press service of the Ministry of Defense of Kazakhstan.

Seventeen servicemen from various units of the Kazakh Armed Forces, including two female servicewomen, are participating in these sessions.

The selection of officers for UN peacekeeping missions is based on stringent criteria. The selection process evaluates not only military skills but also moral and psychological resilience, physical fitness, and proficiency in foreign languages.

Over the course of a week, candidates undergo medical examinations, psychological assessments, physical fitness tests, demonstrate driving skills with a manual transmission vehicle, and showcase their proficiency in the English language.

Upon completion of the training, the candidates who successfully pass the selection process will be enlisted as reserve officers for further deployment in UN peacekeeping missions.

The selection of military observers and staff officers marks a crucial stage in peacekeeping activities aimed at upholding peace, stability, and security worldwide.
