Military attachés accredited in Kazakhstan visited the Center for Peacekeeping Operations of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan (KAZCENT).
A briefing was held in Almaty organized for representatives of the military-diplomatic corps, as reported by Sarbaz.kz citing the press service of the Ministry of Defense of Kazakhstan.
During the briefing, Colonel Bauyrzhan Nigmetullin, the head of the Center for Peacekeeping Operations, discussed the history of KAZCENT's formation and the prospects for the development of peacekeeping activities.
The foreign guests were acquainted with the main directions of the center's activities, the organization of language and peacekeeping training for military, police, and civilian personnel participating in UN peacekeeping operations. They toured training classrooms and attended sessions.
"The military diplomats highly praised the center's activities, acknowledging its contribution to global security and peacekeeping," the department's statement said.
