Over the course of the meeting, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev have listened to the reports on the measures taken to fulfill assignments related to the situation in the Russian Federation.
The President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, has chaired an unscheduled session of the Security Council, as reported by Sarbaz.kz correspondent.
During the meeting, the President has instructed the heads of all agencies to be prepared to respond to potential threats of crisis situations.
In the President's view, the key priority of any state's domestic policy, including Kazakhstan, should be the principle of the rule of law as the foundation for ensuring public order and socio-economic development.
“While the events in Russia are its internal affair, Kazakhstanis have expressed concern about the situation in our friendly country, with which Kazakhstan shares the longest border in the world. The President emphasized that Russia is a strategic partner of Kazakhstan,”- states the Head of State press service.
At the conclusion of the Security Council meeting, the President has approved the Operational Action Plan developed by the Government.
