KazHydroMet has issued storm warnings for Astana and Almaty on July 7, according to Sarbaz.kz.
In Astana, thunderstorms and hail are expected during the day on July 7. The northwest wind may reach gusts of 15-20 meters per second during thunderstorms. In the Akmola region, thunderstorms are expected on the eastern part during the night and on the southern, northern, and eastern parts during the day on July 7.
In Almaty, Shymkent, Almaty, Zhetysu, Karaganda, Turkestan, and Kostanay regions, rain and thunderstorms are anticipated. The Ulytau, Zhambyl, and Pavlodar regions will remain at extreme risk of fire.
In Aktobe, Atyrau, West Kazakhstan, and Mangystau regions, extremely hot weather of 42-43 degrees Celsius is expected during the days of July 7, 9, and 10. The extreme fire hazard persists in these regions.
