Kazakhstan National Team Secures 10 Medals at World Shooting Championship

More than 600 athletes from 45 countries participated in the competition.

During the Junior World Shooting Championship held in South Korea, Kazakhstani marksmen achieved an impressive tally of 10 medals, including 4 gold, 4 silver, and 2 bronze awards, as reported by Sarbaz.kz, citing the Ministry of Culture and Sports.

In Changwon, Kazakhstan was represented by a contingent of 12 sharpshooters. Athlete Fatima Irnazaraova not only clinched the gold medal in the 10m running target mixed event but also set a new world record among junior participants. Additionally, she secured the silver medal in the 10m running target discipline.

Nikita Chiryukin secured the gold medal in the junior category for the 25m sport pistol event and claimed the silver medal in the 25m standard pistol competition for men.

The Kazakhstani women's team secured two gold medals in the 10m running target and 10m running target mixed events, both focused on shooting moving targets.

In the women's individual final of the 50m rifle 3 positions event, Irina Altukhova earned the silver medal. Zuhra Irnazaraova secured the bronze medal in the 10m running target mixed discipline among junior competitors.

Furthermore, the men's team of Kazakhstan, composed of Asadbek Nazirkulev, Ilya Zoteev, and Daniil Yakovenko, clinched two medals in shooting moving targets: silver in the 10m running target event and bronze in the 10m running target mixed discipline.
