The army marksman secures an Olympic spot at the World Shooting Championships.
Islam Satpayev, a Kazakhstani shooter and a sports instructor at the Center for Training National Teams under the Sports Committee of the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Kazakhstan, who is also a member of the Armed Forces, has shared insights about his upcoming competitions, as reported by Sarbaz.kz with reference to the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Kazakhstan's press service.
At the recent World Championships in Baku, Satpayev achieved fourth place in air rifle shooting and secured a license for the Paris 2024 Olympics.
"I believe that my coach and mentor, along with myself, prepared very well for these competitions. We had planned for a comprehensive two-month training, and we succeeded. Moving forward, we intend to adjust our plans, shape our training process in a manner that enables us to peak at the right time and be prepared for the Asian Games and the Olympics," said Satpayev.
The Summer Asian Games will take place from September 23rd to October 8th, 2023, in the Chinese city of Hangzhou.
