Army Athlete Claims Bronze in Trap Shooting at Asian Games

Corporal Asem Orynbay has secured a bronze medal at the Asian Games in Hangzhou, as reported by Sarbaz.kz.

"I am very pleased with my results at the Asian Games. I hope there will be even more medals in Kazakhstan's collection. I dedicate my victory to my beloved mother and wish good luck to the participating athletes," shared Asem Orynbay, expressing her emotions.

The 14-year-old athlete has been involved in trap shooting. In 2018, she achieved second place at the Asian Championship in Kuwait, and in 2021, she claimed the bronze at the World Cup in Egypt. A Master of Sports of International Class, she currently holds the fifth position in the world and the top spot in the national rankings for trap shooting.

Earlier, Sarbaz.kz reported that Asem Orynbay, along with Zoya Kravchenko and Olga Panario, clinched the "gold" in trap shooting.

Kazakhstan's tally now stands at 11 medals: 1 gold, 2 silver, and 8 bronze.
