Zoya Kravchenko, Asem Orynbay, and Olga Panarina clinched victory in the team shooting
The Women’s Team in Shooting has earned Kazakhstan its first gold medal at the Asian Games, as reported by Sarbaz.kz, citing the country's National Olympic Committee.
Kazakhstan now boasts a total of 10 medals in its collection: 1 gold, 2 silver, and 7 bronze.
Earlier, Kazakhstan's shooting and judo teams, along with judoka Abiba Abuzhakynova, secured second-place finishes. The judo team, comprising Magzhan Shamshadin, Abylai-Khan Khanzhubanazar, Esmigul Kuilova, and shooters Nikita Chiryukin and Alexandra Le with Islam Satpaev, earned a bronze in the mixed-team competition, while fencer Elmir Alimzhanov also claimed bronze.
The Asian Games in Hangzhou commenced on September 23 and will conclude on October 8. Kazakhstan's national team, consisting of 525 athletes, is participating in 30 sports. Nine of these sports will grant qualifications for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.
