Darhan Akhmediyev, the Deputy Minister of Defence of Kazakhstan responsible for the digitalisation of the department, addressed the state of internet connectivity within the military.

"In the Armed Forces, closed communication channels are employed. These channels are reserved, meaning the communication is established through optical means, ensuring stable connectivity. It is important to understand that military units are often mobile during wartime, and optical connections may not always be feasible. In such cases, radio relay communication comes into play. Currently, we are employing mesh technologies, where radio stations themselves act as switches, facilitating data transmission," – Akhmediyev stated.
