As noted, the IDF intercepted a rocket fired towards an Israeli drone near the border with Lebanon and struck the location from which it was launched.
Later, TASS reported that Israeli military forces conducted a preemptive strike on an underground tunnel beneath a mosque in Jenin on the West Bank of the Jordan River. This tunnel was used by supporters of Palestinian radical groups Hamas and the Islamic Jihad, who "planned to carry out an attack in the very near future."
It was previously reported that the casualty count in the conflict between Palestinian militants and Israel reached a historic high from both sides in the Gaza Strip.
Israel faced an unprecedented scale of rocket attacks from the Gaza Strip on October 7. After massive shelling, Hamas fighters infiltrated the border areas in the south of the Jewish state. The military wing of the Palestinian movement announced the "Al-Aqsa Flood" operation.
