Continuous heavy rains from Typhoon "Doksuri" have been lashing Beijing, resulting in a total of 11 fatalities and 27 people reported missing, as reported by Sarbaz.kz, citing Xinhua news agency.
According to the Beijing Flood Control and Drought Relief Headquarters, among the deceased, four were from Mentougou district, four from Changping district, two from Fangshan district, and one from Haidian district.
Out of the 27 missing individuals, 13 were reported missing in Mentougou district, 10 in Changping district, and four in Fangshan district.
Since July 29, relentless downpours from Typhoon "Doksuri" have been affecting Beijing, particularly heavy rainfall in the western, southwestern, and southern districts of the city.
As of 6 a.m. on Tuesday, the average precipitation recorded in Beijing reached 257.9 mm, with central urban areas experiencing an average of 235.1 mm of rainfall.
In Mentougou and Fangshan districts, the average precipitation reached 470.2 mm and 414.6 mm, respectively.
Currently, approximately 127,000 residents throughout the city have been evacuated due to the inclement weather.
