The Ministry of Defense of Kazakhstan has issued an official statement addressing the information circulating on social media regarding the transportation of military equipment to Russia, as reported by "Sarbaz.kz" citing the Ministry of Defense's press service.

According to the information from the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the reports of the alleged shipment of Kazakhstani military equipment to the Russian Federation do not correspond to reality.

"This military equipment is not related to the Republic of Kazakhstan; it belongs to a third country and, in accordance with international agreements, is being sent for planned maintenance to Russia via the territory of Kazakhstan," explained the Ministry of Defense of Kazakhstan.

The Ministry of Defense also reminded that the export of weapons and military equipment from Kazakhstan has been prohibited since August 27, 2022, and this prohibition remains in effect.

"In light of this, we urge citizens not to react to unverified information and to trust only official sources," emphasised the Ministry.
