Baubek Oralmagambetov, Chairman of the Aerospace Committee at the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan, presented data on the state of the Earth remote sensing satellite system currently in orbit. This information was conveyed by Sarbaz.kz, referencing the Central Communications Service.

Oralmagambetov reported that the technical parameters for the active operation of the two existing satellites, KazEOSat-1 and KazEOSat-2, expired in 2021. However, technical engineers conducted an audit and extended their utility until the end of 2023.

"According to our projections, our flying satellites should remain operational until 2026-27. However, they need to be replaced, which is currently a significant challenge. This year, we entered into a contract for three satellites with an average pixel difference of 5 meters, KazEOSat-MR, which are scheduled for launch in 2026," stated Baubek Oralmagambetov.
