As of today, the city of Kosshy in the Akmola region lacks a state fire service, reported Sarbaz.kz citing the press service of the regional Emergency Situations Department.

In 2022, construction of a fire depot complex with 4 exits on a 1-hectare land plot was initiated, funded from the national budget. The total building area is 2,269 square meters. Within the premises of the fire depot complex, a residential building and a sports area for planned physical training of firefighters will be situated.

According to experts, the fire depot will provide fire protection for over 50,000 residents of Kosshy and significantly reduce the response time to fire incidents. It is anticipated that the facility will be operational by December 2023.

In the Akmola region, a total of 42 fire stations are in operation, with one fire station opened in the village of Bulaksai in the Arshaly District since the beginning of 2023. The establishment of fire stations for ensuring fire protection in populated areas of the Akmola region remains under constant monitoring and will be continued in the future.
