Kazakhstan Secures First Overall Place at "World Hand-to-Hand Combat Championship"

The World Hand-to-Hand Combat Championship was held in Astana.

Kazakhstani athletes have achieved great success at the domestic World Hand-to-Hand Combat Championship, reports Sarbaz.kz correspondent.

At the recently concluded “World Hand-to-Hand Combat Championship” in Astana, Kazakhstan took the first place in the overall team standings, followed by Russia in second place and Uzbekistan in third.

Kazakhstani athletes, including representatives from the Central Sports Club of the Army (CSKA), won a total of 21 gold, 19 silver, and 21 bronze medals at the world championship. Sergey Astakhov, the President of the International Federation of Hand-to-Hand Combat, praised the tournament’s organisation by the Kazakhstani team
