Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Emomali Rahmon Visit Astana's Main Mosque

The Presidents of Kazakhstan and Tajikistan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Emomali Rahmon, visited the Main Mosque of Astana, as reported by Sarbaz.kz with reference to Akorda.

The Supreme Mufti of Kazakhstan, Nauryzbay Qazy Taganuly, recited verses from the Quran and extended wishes of peace, prosperity, and well-being to the peoples of both countries.

Yesterday, Tokayev and Rahmon toured an exhibition of Tajik folk art.

Previously, the presidents held talks in both narrow and expanded formats.

Their participation in events within the framework of Tajikistan Culture Days in Kazakhstan is anticipated.

The previous meeting of the two leaders took place in July on the sidelines of the "Central Asia + Gulf Cooperation Council Summit." Emomali Rahmon's official visit to Astana occurred in May. During that visit, the presidents agreed, among other things, to hold Tajikistan Culture Days in Astana and to unveil a monument to Ibn Sina.
