An event dedicated to the memory of General-Lieutenant Malik Saparov took place in Almaty, Kazakhstan

The conference, which focused on the life and invaluable contributions of General-Lieutenant Malik Saparov, the First Deputy Minister of Defense and Chairman of the Chiefs of Staff Committee, was held at the Army House and reported by Sarbaz.kz, citing the Ministry of Defense's press service.

The event was organized by the NGO "Council of Generals of the Republic of Kazakhstan" with the support of the command of the Airborne Troops of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan. It was attended by the family and close relatives of Malik Saparov, veterans of the Armed Forces and other branches of the military, cadets from the Military Institute of Ground Forces, the Military Engineering Institute of Radio Electronics and Communications, and the cadets of the Almaty Republican School "Zhas Ulan" named after Bauyrzhan Momishuly, as well as members of the military-patriotic club "Zhas Sarbaz."

Participants paid their respects to Malik Mukhammedzhanovich by laying wreaths at the "Eternal Flame." After the viewing of a documentary film about the life and service of the general, Doctor of Military Sciences and academician Dosai Abraimov spoke.

"General-Lieutenant Malik Saparov, as the Chief of the General Staff, actively participated in the development of draft laws, decrees, resolutions, orders, and directives related to defense and security matters in Kazakhstan. He initiated transformations that significantly increased the combat readiness of the Armed Forces, created a well-structured military management system, and powerful troop groupings in all strategically important directions," noted the academician, highlighting Malik Saparov's significant contributions to military development and science.

Conference participants discussed the importance of such events in the military-patriotic education of the younger generation. They all agreed that through the life example of individuals like Malik Mukhammedzhanovich, Kazakhstan can raise a new generation of patriots.

In conclusion, the Chairman of the "Council of Generals," Major General Makhmut Telegusov, proposed immortalizing the name of General-Lieutenant Malik Saparov by naming the Military Engineering Institute of Radio Electronics and Communications in Almaty in his honor.

It's worth noting that General-Lieutenant Saparov passed away suddenly on June 19, 2003. Today, he would have turned 65.
