Zulfia Suleimenova has assumed a new position as the Special Counselor of the President for International Environmental Cooperation

In a statement, it is mentioned that "By the order of the Head of the State, Zulfia Bulatovna Suleimenova has been appointed as an Advisor to the President - Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan for International Environmental Cooperation."

Zulfia Suleimenova, born on February 25, 1990, in Aktobe, holds a Bachelor's and Master's degree in International Relations from L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University and a PhD in Security and International Studies from the National Institute for Defense Studies in Japan.

Her career began as the Deputy Director of the Department of Climate Policy and Green Technologies at the Ministry of Ecology, Geology, and Natural Resources of Kazakhstan. In 2019, she became part of the Presidential Youth Cadre Reserve. She served as the Vice-Minister of Ecology, Geology, and Natural Resources for approximately a year. In June 2022, she was appointed as the National Coordinator of Kazakhstan for the Global Environment Facility. From January 4 to September 1, 2023, she held the position of Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of Kazakhstan.
