During the first quarter of this year, 194,000 Kazakhs went abroad. Most of them leave for work opportunities. This figure is equal to the previous year's statistics, as reported by Askarbek Ertaev, the Chairman of the Committee for Migration of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of Kazakhstan, according to Sarbaz.kz.

"Out of the 194,000 Kazakhs, approximately 162,000 went to work in the Russian Federation, 13,000 to Poland, 6,000 to South Korea, and 5,000 to the United Kingdom," specified Askarbek Ertaev.

Currently, several agreements between Kazakhstan and other countries in the field of labor migration are in the process of being signed. These agreements will ensure the protection of labor and social rights for Kazakhstani citizens and will be signed with Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom, Germany, Israel, Qatar, and South Korea.

"We are exploring the possibility of including Kazakhstan in the system for issuing work permits so that our citizens can legally find employment in South Korea. Employment through this system will be carried out by registering on the migration.enbek.kz portal. Additionally, centers for labor mobility will provide assistance in document processing, mandatory medical examinations, and more," clarified the head of the Committee.
