A military serviceman is recognized as in need of housing from the day of registration of their report. Subsequently, the commission determines the amount of housing benefits, as stated in the regulations for providing military servicemen with official housing, as reminded by Sarbaz.kz.

Alongside the report, a military serviceman must provide the housing commission with various documents concerning their family composition, lack of personal housing, and so forth.

"The date of recognizing a military serviceman as in need of housing for the purpose of granting them housing benefits is the date of registration of the report, from which point the military serviceman is recognized as in need of housing benefits, as determined by the housing commission of the state institution based on the documents provided by the military serviceman," states the compilation of rules.
