"It is necessary to increase the intensity of operational training activities and the complexity of tasks solved by staffs, taking into account the hybrid nature of modern military conflicts," noted General Colonel Ruslan Zhaxylykov.

During the collegium, the results of organising operational training for the 2023 academic year and the strategic command-staff exercise "Batyl Toytarys" were summarized. "The analysis of recent armed conflicts in the world shows that there are significant changes in approaches to conducting military operations. They are influenced by the use of precision long-range weapons, unmanned aviation, barraging ammunition, special operations forces, private military companies, and information warfare," reported First Deputy Minister of Defense and Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Marat Khussainov.

During the collegium, an analysis of the results of the combat work of management bodies was carried out, problematic issues identified during the exercises were determined, and proposals for further improvement of the training of management bodies and troops were developed.

At the end of the collegium, the head of the defense agency issued relevant instructions to improve the training of troops from the strategic to tactical levels.
