Kazakhstanis in Israel: Ministry of Foreign Affairs Establishes Operational Headquarters

The Embassy of Kazakhstan in Tel Aviv has opened a hotline for emergency communication.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan has formed an operational headquarters for the repatriation of Kazakhstanis from Israel, as reported by Sarbaz.kz citing the ministry.

"Due to the escalation of the military-political situation in Israel, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan has formed an operational headquarters. Immediate actions in case of emergencies abroad have been initiated," stated the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan.

A hotline for emergency communication has been established both at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan and at the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Tel Aviv. Within two days, over 500 calls and inquiries from Kazakhstanis have been received. Currently, the Consular Section of the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Israel has registered 77 individuals, including Embassy staff and their family members. In Israel, there are five students from Kazakhstan, and approximately 30 Kazakhstanis are undergoing internships in medical institutions in the country. The total number of compatriots in Israel is 112 individuals.

For efficient interaction with citizens, a special chat in a messaging app has been created, involving over 200 individuals. In this chat, participants share their locations, exchange contacts with diplomats, and receive consular-legal assistance.

On October 10, Air Astana will operate flight KC-6490/6500 on the Almaty - Tel Aviv - Almaty route to evacuate Kazakhstan citizens from Israel. The departure from Tel Aviv is scheduled for 12:50 local time (15:50 Astana time).

Previously, the airline announced that due to the unstable situation in Israel, the scheduled flight would be carried out only if the security of Ben Gurion Airport is maintained. All subsequent flights to Tel Aviv are suspended until further notice.

According to avianews.com, Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv continues to operate according to its regular schedule despite rocket attacks on Israel by Hamas militants.
