Clashes with fighters from the "Ansar Allah" movement (the Houthis) have led to the Saudi Arabian armed forces being placed on high alert, as reported by Sarbaz.kz, citing Bloomberg.

The clashes erupted after rebels launched several winged rockets and drones towards Israel on October 19. According to Pentagon reports, all of these projectiles were intercepted by a U.S. destroyer in the Red Sea. Sources cited by Bloomberg claim that four Saudi military personnel lost their lives in confrontations with Houthi forces in the Jizan province on the border with Yemen. Additionally, Saudi Arabia's air defense intercepted a rocket fired by the Houthis.

Saudi Arabia's Minister of Defense, Khalid bin Salman, intends to discuss the situation in Yemen and the consequences of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict during his visit to Washington.

Since 2014, Yemen has been witnessing an armed confrontation between government forces and supporters of "Ansar Allah." In April 2022, both sides entered into a ceasefire agreement, which expired on October 2.
