US Assistant Secretary of State to Visit Kazakhstan

He intends to discuss security, economy, and human rights issues.

The Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asia, Donald Lu, is visiting Kazakhstan, where he plans to hold meetings with officials and representatives of civil society, as reported by Sarbaz.kz.

Lu will also participate in the Enhanced Strategic Partnership Dialogue between the United States and Kazakhstan, according to the State Department. The United States and Kazakhstan will discuss cooperation in politics and security, economic partnership, and the protection of human rights.

Following his visit to Kazakhstan, Lu will travel to Uzbekistan and India.
