President of Kazakhstan: ‘Strong Cities are the “Main Engine” of Economic Progress’

Mayors from 15 countries around the world participated in the anniversary forum of twin cities dedicated to the 25th anniversary of Astana.

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, the President of Kazakhstan, has addressed the forum of twin cities held in commemoration of the 25th anniversary of Astana. The key points of his speech, as reported by Sarbaz.kz, are as follows:

 

“Today, Astana represents a city of great opportunities, where every citizen can realize their potential, build a career, and turn their ideas and dreams into reality.” “The rapid development of technology opens up new possibilities for more effective city management.” “The absence of litter on the streets of major cities is a clear indicator of the level of civic consciousness among its residents.” “Strong cities serve as the main driving force behind economic progress.”

 

Mayors from twin cities in 15 countries, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, Israel, and others, participated in the forum.

 

“Twin cities”- are two cities in different countries that have established partnership relations. They collaborate in various areas such as culture, education, economy, ecology, tourism, and housing and communal services.
