Kazakhstan's Population Reaches 20 Million

The head of state congratulated Kazakhs on reaching a population of 20 million people.

President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev celebrated the achievement of the highest population count. The indicator has reached 20 million people, as reported by Sarbaz.kz.

"A happy family is the foundation of the nation's prosperity, ensuring the country's sustainable progress. The state will continue its efforts to strengthen family values and protect motherhood and childhood," wrote Kassym-Jomart Tokayev on his page on X (formally known as Twitter).

According to the National Statistics Bureau, the urban population in Kazakhstan exceeds the rural population by nearly 5 million people. Additionally, the number of women is nearly 500 thousand more than men.
