For six months, Kazakh military personnel carried out tasks as part of the Indian peacekeeping battalion in the "Eastern" sector, as reported by Sarbaz.kz.

The Kazakh peacekeepers conducted foot, mobile, and aerial patrols within their areas of responsibility, organized checkpoint operations, secured the peacekeeping base, and ensured compliance with peace agreements.

"Despite the challenging situation in the region, the military units have performed their assigned tasks admirably. We return home in high spirits. Over the past six months, some soldiers have become parents," shared Captain Farhat Akbaliev, the commander of the peacekeeping unit.

Recently, the tenth peacekeeping contingent of the Armed Forces of Kazakhstan departed for the Republic of Lebanon to replace the arriving peacekeepers. It's worth noting that Kazakhstani participation in the UNIFIL mission began in October 2018. During this period, over 500 military personnel have served in Lebanon, gaining invaluable experience.

In Almaty, the peacekeepers were welcomed by the military personnel of the Peacekeeping Operations Centre of the Ministry of Defence of Kazakhstan, led by Deputy Chief of the Centre, Colonel Bakhytzhan Zhetpisov, along with their relatives and loved ones.
