Turkey and Kazakhstan Sign Defense Agreement

An agreement between Turkey and Kazakhstan was signed during the IDEF 23 exhibition in Istanbul.

Representatives of JSC "Ural Plant "Zenit" signed a memorandum with the Turkish state company ASFAT at the IDEF-2023 exhibition in Istanbul, as reported by Sarbaz.kz citing the press service of JSC "Kazakhstan Engineering."

The cooperation is planned with the Ministry of Defense of Kazakhstan, and in case of interest from the defense department, the development of new projects.

The agreement allows the enterprise to involve other partners in collaborative work on projects.

Currently, JSC "Ural Plant "Zenit" is independently implementing the company's first-ever project for the construction of a multifunctional vessel. It is designed to perform material and technical support of ships, cargo handling, provide assistance to surface vessels in combat survivability, firefighting, and emergency rescue operations, including medical evacuation to rescue crews, towing, and emergency towing operations.

As emphasized by JSC "Kazakhstan Engineering," all upcoming projects are carried out solely based on the needs and approval of the corresponding specifications by the Armed Forces of Kazakhstan.
