Kazakhstani Rescue Teams to share their experience with Belarus and Russia Rescue Teams

Kazakhstani rescuers are sharing their expertise with the personnel of the Emergencies Ministry of Belarus and Russia in Almaty, where rescuers from other countries have arrived for training.

In the Zailiysky Alatau mountains, the Republican Operational Rescue Team of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Kazakhstan has commenced mountain training sessions as part of a joint training seminar among the personnel of the Emergency Situations Ministries of Belarus and Russia, according to Sarbaz.kz, citing the department's press service.

On the first day, the Kazakhstani rescuers conducted briefings on the rules of conduct and safety techniques on rocks and mountainous terrain during expeditions and also prepared the equipment for practical exercises.

On the second day, the rescuers went to the Chimbulach peak (at an altitude of 3,450 meters) for acclimatization before embarking on a multi-day expedition. The rescuers will continue their mountain trek until the eighth of August.

"During this time, the rescuers will cover a long multi-kilometer route. One of the points will include ascending the peak of Amangeldy, where they will conduct ice training and rope work, “Devil’s Gorge”, Abay Pass, and on the eighth day, they will ascend the peak of Sovetov," the department's statement said.
