The Euro 2024 qualifying tournament's 9th round match wrapped up at the "Astana Arena" stadium, reported by Sarbaz.kz. The match ended with a score of 3-1.

Islam Chesnokov opened the scoring in the 19th minute with a shot from the penalty area straight into the top corner.

Early in the second half, a midfielder from "Tobol" completed a brace. Islam chested down the ball in a battle with a defender and fired a powerful low shot from outside the box. The ball struck the crossbar and bounced into the net.

However, the San Marino team didn't give up. In the 60th minute, the opponents managed to score their second goal in this qualifying tournament. Simone Franciosi was on target with a follow-up.

The match was sealed with a penalty by Abat Aimbetov in injury time.

Consequently, the Kazakhstan team has amassed 18 points, securing the third position in their qualifying group. Later (at 01:45 Astana time), Denmark and Slovenia—direct rivals of the Kazakhstan team for a spot in the European Championship—will play in Copenhagen.

Our footballers will have their decisive final match on November 21st against Slovenia away.
