Iran Conducts Full-Scale Aerial Exercises

The exercises encompassed reconnaissance flights, ground, and aerial target destruction, electronic warfare, as well as testing of Iranian military systems and equipment.

The Iranian Air Force (IAF) has commenced large-scale exercises in the central province of Isfahan, as reported by Sarbaz.kz citing IRNA.

Under the codename "11 Fadaeian-e Harim-e Velayat" (11 Defenders of the Holy Guardianship), forces from all airbases joined the exercises, stated the IAF Chief Commander Hamid Vahedi during a pre-exercise press conference.

According to Vahedi, the drills involve a total of 92 aircraft, including fighter jets, bombers, and unmanned aerial vehicles. The exercises encompassed reconnaissance flights, ground and aerial target destruction, electronic warfare, as well as testing of Iranian military systems and equipment.

Vahedi indicated that the exercises aim to enhance the combat capabilities of the IAF and devise optimal strategies for actual combat scenarios.

The primary objective of Iran, as articulated by the commander, is to ensure robust regional security and safeguard the nation's airspace.
