President Joe Biden has authorised the Pentagon to deploy up to 3,000 army reservists to Europe, as reported by Sarbaz.kz with reference to The Washington Post.

According to General Lieutenant Douglas Sims, the head of operations at the US Joint Chiefs of Staff, this decision will enable the Department to enhance support for allies and sustain an expanded American presence abroad.

The timing of when the Pentagon plans to activate these reserve forces, or if they intend to do so at all, remains unknown, notes the newspaper.
