There are no Kazakhstani nationals among the victims of the earthquake in Morocco, according to a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, as reported by Sarbaz.kz.

Kazakhstan maintains an embassy in Morocco, where over 30 citizens, including embassy staff and other Kazakhstani nationals, reside. All of them are safe, and no one has been affected by the earthquake. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan is in regular contact with them.

The earthquake in Morocco has been the most powerful in the region in the last 120 years. According to the latest information, nearly three thousand people have lost their lives, with thousands more injured. However, Moroccan authorities have only accepted assistance in search and rescue efforts from four countries: Spain, the United Kingdom, Qatar, and the UAE. They declined aid from other countries such as the United States, Italy, Turkey, Algeria, and France, citing potential coordination challenges that might lead to counterproductive actions. King Mohammed VI of Morocco has declared a three-day mourning period in the country to honor the earthquake victims.
