South Korean and foreign defense companies have signed contracts worth over $6 billion during the ADEX arms exhibition in Seoul, as reported by Sarbaz.kz, citing the Korea Herald.

During the Seoul International Aerospace and Defense Exhibition (ADEX), deals totaling $6.05 billion were signed in total, significantly surpassing the $128 million worth of deals made in 2021, according to the organizers.

ADEX concluded its six-day run at the Seoul Air Base in Seongnam, located south of Seoul, on Sunday, with a record-breaking participation of 550 companies from 35 countries. Local firms also engaged in consultations for potential deals worth $29.4 billion, as stated by the organizers.

Moreover, the ADEX-2023 exhibition has become the largest in scale and in terms of the number of participating firms since its inauguration in 1996.

South Korea showcased its cutting-edge domestic military technology, including the KF-21 indigenous fighter jet currently in development. In contrast, the United States sent a strategic bomber, the B-52H, to fly over the exhibition in celebration of the 70th anniversary of their bilateral alliance this year.

It's worth noting that a delegation from the Kazakhstan Air Defense Forces visited the exhibition to discuss avenues for aviation development with their colleagues.
