Israel's "Operation Iron Swords" in Gaza to be the Largest-Scale in the Conflict's History

Israel has already called up 360,000 reservists and intensified its airstrikes on the Gaza Strip since October 7th.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF), known as the IDF, plans to eliminate all of Gaza's infrastructure, and the sacrifices of the local population will not deter them, as reported by Sarbaz.kz, citing Reuters.

Israel's strategy involves destroying Gaza's infrastructure, pushing the population toward the Egyptian border, and obliterating HAMAS by detonating the network of underground tunnels, according to sources in the IDF cited by Reuters.

However, Israel has no clear vision of the post-war future for the territory inhabited by 2 million people.

Some U.S. presidential aides are concerned that while Israel may develop an effective plan for inflicting long-term damage on Hamas, it still needs to formulate an exit strategy, according to a source in Washington familiar with the matter.

The impending Israeli offensive will be much more extensive than previous operations in Gaza, which Israeli officials previously referred to as "mowing the grass," and it aims to reduce HAMAS's military capability, but not necessarily to eliminate the group.

Israel has engaged in three previous conflicts with HAMAS in 2008, 2012, and 2014, and it undertook limited ground incursions during two of these campaigns. However, unlike today, Israeli leaders have never pledged to annihilate HAMAS once and for all.
